The Lodge

Our eight luxury Safari Chalets - with private bathrooms and terraces - are just a minute's walk from the Main Camp.

These offer a high level of privacy and face out to offer a beautiful view of the Zambian countryside.

At the centre of Pioneer is an open thatched bar/restaurant or ‘Chitenge’ - open from 0700 until 2300 every day. Coffee and Tea are always available here but, along with drinks from the bar, can be brought to your chalet if requested.

Hosted mainly be Alfred, this is the place to exchange tales of adventure with fellow travellers. Breakfast, lunch and dinner are served here. Pioneer is well known for the candle lit braai meals served in the evenings – in particular the tasty 500gm T-bones!

The whole area is surrounded by an unobtrusive electric fence to ensure complete security.
