At the centre of the Pioneer is the open thatched bar/restaurant or ‘Chitenge’.

This is open from 0700 until 2300 every day, although we are always able to provide a more basic breakfast for guests heading off to the airport, prior to this time. Coffee and Tea are always available here but, along with drinks from the bar, which can be brought to your chalet if requested.

Pioneer Lodge & Camp is well known for the candle lit braai meals served in the evenings – in particular the tasty 500gm T-bones!

Within our grounds there is a recreation area with a small swimming pool, table tennis table and billiards etc.

A library of informative books about the wildlife, fauna and flora of Zambia along with books about other parts of Africa are available in our comfortable sitting room.
